Art of Jiu Jitsu Academy was founded in July 2012 by the World Renowned Mendes Brothers, Gui and Rafa Mendes.
Professor Danny had the opportunity as a team member, competitor, and instructor at AOJ between 2012 - 2018 up until he returned home to Long Island to open Breathe Jiu Jitsu. He received his black belt from Professor Gui and Professor Rafa in April 2017 but continues to learn from them and other AOJ instructors today.
